WARNING: The garage door MUST be in the fully closed position during installation.
To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH:
Disconnect ALL electric and battery power BEFORE performing ANY service or maintenance.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
The trolley must be in the down (closed door) position during assembly and installation. If you have a fully installed garage door opener, the rail/opener assembly must be removed. UP and DOWN Limits must be readjusted after installation.
Due to the increased rail length, the opener’s hanging brackets will need to be repositioned and an additional bracket added for stability.
IF THIS IS A NEW INSTALLATION
This kit includes the front (header), chain/cable assembly, and longer emergency release rope, which can be used in place of those packaged with your garage door opener.
Add the enclosed center rail as the second rail section, creating a five-piece rail assembly.
Complete the assembly, installation, and adjustment as outlined in your owner’s manual. Add a hanging bracket for stability.
IF THIS IS AN EXISTING INSTALLATION, CONTINUE AS FOLLOWS
Disconnect power to the opener.
Pull down on the emergency release handle, then disconnect the trolley from the door arm.
Disconnect the rail/opener assembly from the header bracket and hanging brackets, and place it on the floor.
Remove the outer nut from the trolley shaft and set it aside.
Disconnect the two master link assemblies from the trolley, then discard them.
Remove the idler pulley assembly and set it aside.
Remove the chain/cable assembly and discard.
Push the trolley back toward the opener. With a screwdriver, pry up the outer tabs on each side to disconnect the front rail and second rail sections. Slide them off and discard. them
Align the new front-and-center rails with the existing rail assembly. Make sure the idler pulley bolt hole above the window is larger on top. Slide the center rail on, then the front rail. Side tabs will lock it in place.
Insert a sc “screwdriver “into the hole 10” from the fr “nt end as a temporary stop. Slide the trolley to this point.
Use a flathead screwdriver to lift the rail tab until it is vertowner’s0°vertowner’s0°our owner’s manual complete the assembly and reinstallation. Add an extra hanging bracket before hanging the opener. Replace the old emergency release rope with the new, longer one.
Reconnect power.
Make adjustments and test the system’s safety as per the owner’s manual: Proposition 65 Notice.

Adding Hanging Bracket
Cut the enclosed hanging bracket (cross brace) to fit across the installed hanging brackets.
Fasten the cross brace to the top and bottom holes of the hanging brackets using:
5/16″”-18 x 7/8″ hex bol”s
5/16″ lock washer.”
5/16″ -18 nuts
