Is the G953EV-P2 compatible with my garage door opener?
The G953EV-P2 works with most Chamberlain®, LiftMaster®, and Craftsman® garage door openers made after 1993, provided they use photoelectric sensors (safety sensors). It’s not compatible with Craftsman Series 100 models or openers lacking safety sensors.
Can I program the remote myself?
Yes! Programming is fast and wireless, taking just a few minutes. Follow the included instructions to match the remote to your opener’s “Learn” button. No tools are required.
How do I know if my opener uses Security+ 2.0®?
Look for a yellow “Learn” button on your garage opener’s motor housing. This indicates compatibility with Security+ 2.0®. Other learn button colors (purple, green, orange) may still be compatible, but vary by model.
How long does the battery last?
The included CR2032 lithium battery is long-lasting. With average use, it will last 12–18 months before needing a replacement.

Operate the garage door only when visible and no obstructions are present.
Keep the door in sight until it completely closes.
For use with Chamberlain 315 MHz or 390 MHz garage door openers manufactured after January 1, 1993.
Can control up to three compatible devices, such as garage door openers or gate operators.
Step 1: Locate the LEARN button on the garage door opener (colors: Yellow, Purple, Red/Orange, Green).
Step 2: On the remote, press and hold the Program button until the LED turns on.
Step 3: Press the remote button the number of times corresponding to your opener’s LEARN button color:

Step 4: Within 30 seconds, press the LEARN button on your garage door opener.
Step 5: Press the programmed remote button until the door opener clicks or lights flash.
Step 6: Test the remote.
Battery type: 3V CR2032 coin cell.
LED stops flashing when battery is low.
Open the case and insert the battery positive side up.
Safety Notes:
Do not let children handle batteries.
If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.
