Chamberlain® MYQ Smart LED Garage Light – Model MYQLED2

Installation Instructions

The myQ Smart LED Garage Light is designed to plug directly into a standard 120V outlet.

Mounting Location:
Choose a location on the ceiling or wall within 6 feet (1.83 m) of an electrical outlet so the power cord and light remain clear of moving parts.

Note: If installing on drywall and no ceiling joist is found, use the included drywall anchors. No pilot hole is needed for drywall anchors.

Installation Steps:

1. Open the light lens. Hold the light against the mounting surface within 6 feet of an outlet, and mark the screw holes with a pencil.

2. If mounting to a wooden joist, drill pilot holes with a 1/8″ bit at the marked spots. OR use the provided drywall anchors at the marked locations.

3. Determine the needed cord length. Wrap excess cord around the cord retainer on top of the light base. Route the cord through the channel so the light will sit flush when mounted.

4. Line up the screw holes, insert the provided screws, and mount the light.

5. Close the light lens.

6. Plug the light into the outlet.

   Warning: The LED light is very bright and will blink during programming. Do not stare directly at it while on a ladder.

Programming Instructions

To Program a Door Opener/Operator:

1. Press the LEARN button on the Smart Light until the green LED turns on.

2. Choose one of the following:

   • Press the LEARN button on the garage door opener/operator.

   • Press the LEARN button on the door control twice.

   • On an LCD Smart Control Panel®: go to Menu > Program > myQ Device.

   • In the myQ app: Menu > Program > myQ Device.

App Instructions:

1. Open the myQ app.

2. Tap the account icon (upper left).

3. Tap Device Management.

4. Select your garage door opener listed under “ubs”

5. Tap Add New under “Devices/Sensors paired to this Hub.”

6. Select Smart LED Garage Light and follow the prompts to pair.

7. After pressing the LEARN button on the light, tap Next to finish.

   The light will blink once to confirm pairing.

The light has now been added to your myQ account as an accessory.

To Program a Security+ 2.0® Remote:

1. Press the LEARN button on the Smart Light until the green LED turns on.

2. Press the button on the remote you want to assign to the light.

   Note: Do not use a button already paired with another device.

3. The light will blink once to confirm successful pairing.

To Erase All Programming:

Press and hold the LEARN button on the light until the green LED turns off (6–10 seconds). All previous programming will be erased.

Maintenance:

• Always unplug the light before cleaning.

• Use a lightly dampened cloth.

• Do NOT use liquid cleaners on the light lens.

• Intended for indoor use only – ceiling or wall mount.

Note: The MYQLED2 is not compatible with the following garage door openers:
Chamberlain RJO20 / RJO20C
LiftMaster 8500 / 8500C

Chamberlain Group LLC provides a 1-year limited warranty to the first consumer purchaser.
This warranty covers defects in materials or artistry for one year from the purchase date.
Products must be purchased from an authorized reseller in the U.S. or Canada. Chamberlain reserves the right to deny warranty claims for items bought through unauthorized sellers.
